Our Approach
Each of Transcend Strategic Consulting’s (TSC) clients operate in a unique environment, however, they share common objectives with regards to improving profitability, cash flow, return on assets employed, and operational effectiveness. To help our client’s achieve these goals we’ve established the following phased approach - repeatable process – for delivering value:
- Business evaluation: This is a rapid top-level assessment of capabilities and performance. Deliverables include a list of recommendations for short- and long-term improvements and may include one or more of the following:
- Process variation analysis and drivers
- Market Structure overview & Competitive analysis
- Price-Volume Scatter Plots
- Operations Effectiveness: This is a deep-dive approach that identifies a specific area for improvement, such as strategic pricing or cash flow optimization (see below). This phase provides focus and includes project plan development, project management, and results reporting. TSC role may be one or more of those listed below:
- Consultant
- Project manager
- Adjunct staff (typically analysis and reporting)
- Cash Flow Optimization: We list this as a separate phase because (a) it is how we pay for ourselves and (b) it establishes an ongoing working capital management system within the client company. The goal is to establish a systemic, Six Sigma based, process to consistently deliver free cash flow. During this step our focus is on:
- Working capital
- Transactional analysis
- Report development
- Training and Staff Augmentation: This phase is designed to institutionalize and lock-in the gains made from working with TSC. On an ongoing basis, we can provide our clients with the following support:
